Stoicism Was Designed for Practical Use, Not Academic Study

The Stoics — Epictetus, Marcus Aurelius, Seneca — developed their philosophy as a daily practice for navigating adversity, not as an academic system. The core insight is the dichotomy of control: focus only on what is within your power (your judgements, actions, responses), and treat everything else as indifferent. This is still one of the most actionable frameworks in existence.
